Michele D. Roussel to Entertain Children
She writes! She paints! She entertains!
Multi-talented artist injects fusion into her work, basing a series of childrens novels on her growing array of puppets.
During the festival, Michele will have copies of her first illustrated children's book available for sale. Entitled, "Winter is Here! Volume 1", this first book introduces the main characters that appear in the series. Themes developed in the book include
family, friendship, and active outdoor fun. Future volumes will cover many issues affecting children's lives. The French version of the book, "L'hiver est arrivé! Volume 1", will also be available.
Michele is the author and illustrator of this series, which she writes for children between the ages of 5 and 8.
During each day of the Canadian Authors' Festival, Michele will treat children of all ages to a puppet show along with a story for the children. Each show will run for approximately 30 minutes, and involves puppets which represent characters from her stories.
